Last summer, Boston invested an additional $4.1 million in the city’s summer jobs program to develop four new alternative tracks to not only ensure youth would be engaged during the summer but would also have the potential to develop their skills while earning the wages that their families depend on. Join American Youth Policy Forum in an interactive webinar to learn how city and state governments facing both steep budget shortfalls and large logistical hurdles can learn from the Boston experience and mount effective summer job programs this year. Participants will also hear directly from youth who will share their insight about the impact of participation in Boston’s summer youth employment program.
