Calling all programs and education leaders across Kentucky: Join us in the national effort to ensure that every high school senior and every college student who wants to attend college this fall submits a Better FAFSA form!
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form has been revamped for the first time in 40 years. This newer, better form is now easier for parents and students to fill out and is designed to help more students qualify for federal aid. The Kentucky Out-of-School Alliance (KYOSA) is partnering with the U.S. Department of Education to help spread the word and make sure students have the information they need. Things you can do to help:
- Leverage existing communication channels and social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) to launch a FAFSA outreach campaign and reach students and their families at scale.
- Send out resources from the Department of Education to state and local affiliates.
- Share this toolkit with students and their families and encourage them to fill out FAFSA today! And if you have a college-aged student in your life, tell them to stop what they’re doing right now, take a #FAFSAFastbreak, and submit their form!
