We are excited to identify our next cohort of Kentucky Afterschool Ambassadors. The 2024-2025 Kentucky Afterschool Ambassador Program application will open on May 15, 2024. The deadline to apply is June 28, 2024.
Founded by KYOSA in 2022, the Kentucky Afterschool Ambassador Program is designed to empower up-and-coming leaders in the field to confidently and effectively advocate for afterschool for all Kentucky youth. Those selected to join the 2024-2025 cohort will receive monthly training, starting in September 2024 and running through June 2025, on how to conduct outreach with policymakers and other leaders. Participants will also participate in events and activities to promote afterschool programs and the policies that make them possible.
Anyone with a strong passion for afterschool and an interest in advocacy is encouraged to apply. Up to twelve (12) Kentucky Afterschool Ambassadors will be selected this year, with representation from each Congressional district. Ambassadors receive a $1,000 stipend for their commitment to the program.
