DIRECTOR
Kathleen Kelly is a nonprofit leader with over 15 years of experience strengthening mission-driven organizations through strategic leadership, systems development, and relationship-centered management. Her work spans statewide nonprofit networks, higher education institutions, and community-based organizations, with a consistent focus on helping organizations navigate growth, transition, and complex stakeholder environments.
Kathleen has held leadership and advisory roles with Kentucky Association of Sexual Assault Programs and Kentucky CASA Network, where she supported nonprofits across Kentucky by coaching executive directors, strengthening HR and governance practices, and helping organizations rebuild and sustain trust with funders, social services, and community partners. Her work frequently involved supporting leadership transitions, onboarding new executive directors, and aligning internal systems with mission and community needs.
In higher education settings, Kathleen worked with both the University of Louisville and the University of Virginia, where she led cross-campus coalitions of faculty, staff, and administrators to implement large-scale prevention and student support initiatives.
Across all of her roles, Kathleen is known for bringing structure to vision, building practical systems that support people, programs, and long-term sustainability. Grounded in trauma-informed practice and a deep belief in community connection, she leads with clarity, empathy, and accountability, helping nonprofit organizations strengthen their impact while remaining rooted in their mission and the communities they serve.
